My mother is 63 years old and has Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes, Shingles, Gout, Edema, and Lung Disease. Over the past 14 months she has injured the bottom of her feet , the first injury occur ed when she stepped on an ice cube that was on the kitchen floor. She didn’t slip and she did not fall but the pain that was to come for the next 2 weeks was most excruciating and almost unbearable at times! She could not walk on either foot or bear any weight on them, it was really unbelievable the pain in both feet from so little trauma to the one foot!! About 8 days ago she stepped on a little bitty piece of macaroni on the kitchen floor and has been writhing in pain and unable to walk ever since!! She has been taking Ati van and Tram dole for the pain but its pretty much not doing anything. What Im wondering is if there is any Herbal or natural products to help ease this type of pain??

I have gout and high blood pressure. I take Diova 160/25 and Norvasec for BP and Alopurinol for gout. I get swelling in the legs. My doctors can’t fix this problem. When they change the drugs or doze my blood pressure goes up and I get gout attack….anyone out there who has my problem?

I’m freakin gout. Today I noticed my face is covered with fuzzy blonde hairs (I’m a dark brunette!)that I have never noticed before! I know you aren’t supposed to have hair covering your face! I have been useing clindoxyl gel for acne treatment for about 3 or 4 weeks now, and was wondering if maybe that could have caused hair to grow on my face? I don’t know what to do!

I didn’t want to rely on metformin and atenolol since my doctor told me I’m just bordeline diabetic. Well my question is I’ve heard of this herbal call DONG QUAI to regulate menstrual cycles and since I lost my medical insurance recently, its cheaper than birth control. Any insight on dong quai? He is not a candidate for surgery, dialysis or any aggressive treatment. He has an ulcer, black-blue area on the bottom of his foot and 3 toes. BUN = 149, Creat =5.55;Brain NATR PEPT=644. He is in deep, chronic pain that is never completely removed. I live 1300 miles away so I depend on feedback from a mother that is not dealing well. My father is in denial of his health and does not acknowledge that death is probably more near than far. Or am I wrong in my thinking? One doctor said 2 years. I am not financially set to quit work for 2 years, but if it’s a matter of weeks I would like to take family leave. I appreciate any input.

My fiance is a cardiac patient who was on allopurinol for years. they took him off of some of his meds so they could figure out what he needed and didn’t need. he went into congestive heart failure a while back and they rapidly infused him with lasix to remove 3.5 liters of fluid. the lasix was so strong it put him into renal failure and in the treatment of that he has developed 2 acute cases of gout in left hand and wrist. he is beginning to feel this type of pain in alot of other joints. they gave him colthrecine to rid the gout but it is making him very wet. swollen extremetie and severe diarrhea. is there any home treatment or anything he can do to rid this bout? they already put him back on allopurinol but state that it wont help rid the gout but it should help to keep it from happening which is a good thing. but what i need to know, is there any remedies that relieve the pain?
