My mom’s been experiencing pain on the outer side of her foot, just under the cuboid area. There’s a swelling/bump there and it hurts when she presses on it. She’s also had gout-like symptoms (swelling on her toe pinky). These gout-like conditions developed after the swelling on her foot. X-rays showed negative. She’s went to multiple doctors who still have yet to accurately diagnoise and provide effective treatment The last doctor claimed it to be a tendon problem (which I think it is). He said the tendons were inflamed and gave her a shot. It’s been almost a week and swelling has shown no signs of improvement. She doesn’t have arithiritis. Any ideas?
