best gout treatment
Theresa G asked:

Back in July I starting having pain in the center of the bottom of my left big toe, a few weeks later I had a callus right where the pain was on my toe, so I dealt with the extreme pain till October when I could not take it any longer and had to go to the Dr. to see what was on my toe, I was told it was a deep tissue callus, so I did the recommended treatment, when it was not working and the pain got worse, I went to a 2nd Dr. who said there is no such thing as a deep tissue callus and that it was a plantar wart, so I went for 5 wart treatments only for this Dr. to tell me he no longer thinks it is a wart and now wants me to go see a surgeon for feet. He mentioned it might be a neuroma tumor, but everything I have looked up on this tumor, it is never located on the bottom of toes!?? I am at a loss. My toe hurts the worse when I take a bath and it has been in hot water or if my feet get too warm in my boots, it will just start hurting in the middle of the night with a burning pain & sometimes makes me run a fever, it gets red and hot and swells, there is a lump underneath the callus & the callus will not go away. I had a friend give me sodium naproxene pills (Aleve) which he takes for gout and it will get rid of the pain for a few hours, but these are not pills I want to take everyday as they tear up my stomach. Does anyone have a clue as to what it can be or has anyone had this problem and what did you have to do??????

Marco
