   ive got it a couple of times,and the only thing that gives fast relief is to eat a boat load of cherries,and drink cherry juice.the swelling will be half size the next day,and you can walk on it. when i have gotten gout,it was after eating very large steak dinners,probably should limit red meat if you are gout prone. also heard alcohol doesnt help either.prescribed meds are too slow.
